MANCHESTER — Concordia Lutheran Church, Emanuel Lutheran Church, and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will collaborate to offer services during Holy Week.
Holy Week encompasses the most important days of the Christian year, including Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter.
The services will begin on Sunday, March 25, with all three churches offering Palm Sunday services. St. Mary’s will have services at 7:30 and 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.; Emanuel will have services at 8:45 and 10:30 a.m.; and Concordia will have a service at 10 a.m.
St. Mary’s will hold morning and evening prayer services at 9:15 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Thursday, Emanuel will hold a Holy Thursday service, which will include foot washing, communion, and stripping of the altar.
Good Friday’s liturgy will take place at St. Mary’s at 7:30 p.m. The church will also hold a morning liturgy on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. The Easter Vigil will take place that night at 7:30 p.m. at Concordia.
Easter services will take place at 10 a.m. at Concordia, 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. at Emanuel, and 7:30 and 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s.
