ANDOVER — Town officials are in their second round of interviews to find a new chief financial officer for the town.
Currently serving as the interim treasurer is Beth Bauer, who has held that position since September, Town Administrator Joseph Higgins said Wednesday.
Officials had hoped to hire a permanent treasurer by February and had received applications, but due to inclement weather, many meetings were cancelled or rescheduled. When the board was finally able to meet, the prospects had all accepted other positions.
Now, a second round of applications for the part-time position is being assessed. Higgins says he is unsure of when the Board of Selectmen will announce the new treasurer.
The treasurer oversees all municipal finance operations and is overseen by the town administrator.
