Open house set for camp

ANDOVER — Channel 3 Kids Camp has announced three open house dates for the upcoming camp season.

The open houses are scheduled for March 10, April 28 and May 12. Parents and children are encouraged to attend and tour the camp and meet the new chief operating officer, Brian Vance, and director of programs, Jes Vance.

Open houses will run from 10 a.m. to noon. If weather is bad Saturday, the open house will be rescheduled to March 24.

The camp is currently enrolling campers ages 4-16 for its 108th summer season. It boasts inclusive facilities that allow children with disabilities to participate in camp activities alongside their peers.

Denise Hornebecker, CEO of Channel 3, said that after renovation of its recreation hall, the camp will be far more accessible to those with special needs.

The camp runs for 10 weekly sessions from June 18 to Aug. 18. Registration and hiring for summer staff is now open. For details, call 860-742-2267 ext. 109 or visit
